Mara River Camp

A tented camp on a quiet bend of the Mara River, at the foot of the Oloololo Escarpment.

What you will live

The day begins on foot, with the river still in mist. Elephants, giraffes and monkeys pass through the camp itself, and from July to October the Great Migration gathers at crossing points close by. Maasai guides from the camp read the grass, the tracks and the birds, and share them at walking pace. Evenings end by the open fire, as the stars come out over the river.

Watamu Beach Club & Villas

Villas and a private beach club on Mayungu Bay, beside the Watamu Marine National Park.

What you will live

At low tide, white sandbanks rise from the sea and the reef sits a short paddle from the beach. Fishermen launch their dhows from Mayungu at dawn. The villas open onto verandas around a central pool, and the beach club waits at the end of a 150-metre path through the gardens. Inland, the Arabuko Sokoke Forest and the ruins of Gedi keep their own quiet.
